The Copenhagen Girls' Choir of Denmark

The Copenhagen Girls' Choir of Denmark, whose members are known as little mermaids, are set to fill the stage of the Forbidden City Concert Hall with the voice of angels.

Helmed by chief conductor Claus Vestergaard Jensen, the choir, with a history of more than 30 years, boasts a repertoire of not just the classical music of Faure and Brahms, but also works specially composed for the choir by Knut Nystedt, Ib Norholm, Thomas Clausen and Leif Kayser.

The program includes "I am Born in Denmark," "One Upon A Time," "The Silent Forest," "Songs from the Sea," "West Side Story" and "Danny Boy."
