Kanye West is like "Cyclops when he puts his glasses on".
The US rapper insists he is so talented he is like a "superhero", adding his only problem is he is so gifted people often don't understand his music.
He said: "One of the problems with being a bubbling source of creativity - it's like I'm bubbling in a laboratory, and if you don't put a cap on it, at one point it will, like, break the glass. "If I can hone that then I have nuclear power, like a superhero, like Cyclops when he puts his glasses on."
In Greek mythology a Cyclops was a one-eyed giant, known for its supreme strength and power.
The 31-year-old star - who released album "808s and Heartbreak" last year - insists no other recording artist comes close to being as successful as him.
He explained: "There's nothing more to be said about music. I'm the end-all, be-all of music. I know what I'm doing. I did 808s in three weeks. I got it. It's on cruise control."
Kanye believes his superior musical skills come from his early fascination with sex, explaining he transferred his youthful lusty obsessions to producing songs.
He said: "People ask me a lot about my drive. I think it comes from having a sexual addiction at a really young age. Look at the drive that people have to get sex - to dress like this and get a haircut and be in the club in the freezing cold at 3am, the places they go to pick up a girl. If you can focus the energy into something valuable, put that into work ethic..."
Kanye went on to explain his early fascination with sex, revealing he was so fixated he once programmed a computer game around it.
He added to Details magazine: "The main character was a giant penis. It was like Mario Brothers, but the ghosts were, like, vaginas. I was 12 and it literally took me all night to do a step, because the penis had little feet and eyes."
