Leonardo DiCaprio may be one of the most dedicated and talented actors in Hollywood who hasn't yet been awarded an Oscar. And, apparently, he doesn't mind.
"The truth of the matter is, I have a lot to prove to myself still as an actor," Leo told Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell.
The "Revolutionary Road" star said he still has "that kind of thirst to want to do a performance that I'm happy with."
It is that attitude that Leo brought to the set of "Revolutionary Road," which pitted him opposite Kate Winslet on the big screen, for the first time in over a decade. And Leo said the grown-up Kate has a heavily dedicated drive as well.
"It's interesting to see her after all these years and be in a working environment with her because she's still got that same bizarre professionalism that she had in her early 20s," Leo said. "She's still a committed actress, she's still fervent about making every detail of her character come alive, but now she's way more in control of that."
While it's clear he admires Kate, Leo admitted he also appreciates the humanitarian work done by Brad Pitt, who has been using his Make It Right Foundation to help rebuild Hurricane Katrina-ravaged New Orleans.
"It's unbelievable work that's he's done there," he added. "I think he really championed a fantastic cause. I have nothing but admiration for him in doing that. I mean, he took it into his own hands too and he really shepherded that whole project and got a lot of important people involved."
