The Filarmonica Della Scala, an Italian philharmonic orchestra, will visit Beijing for the first time in September.
The 230-year-old orchestra has decided to wrap up their Asian tour, from September 4 to 13, at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, according to a press release issued by the center.
Their show, to be led by South Korean-born conductor Myung-Whun Chung, will also open the center's first autumn concert series.
Before visiting Beijing, the orchestra will stage their Chinese debut show in Shanghai on September 12.
Their Asian itinerary will also include visits to Japan and South Korea.
