A scene from Tan Dun's opera "Tea: a Mirror of Soul" which was staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing on July 30, 2008. The play revolves around the romance between a Chinese princess and a Japanese prince and is set in the 9th century. Tan Dun, an Oscar-winning composer, presented the opera with his signature style of using natural sounds, incorporating water, paper and stones as instruments.
