China's leading rock stars, including Xu Wei, Wang Feng, Xie Tianxiao and Peng Tan gathered for a campus performance on Sunday in Wuhan, the capital of central China's Hubei Province.

Thousands of college students were rocking and rolling in the event entitled "In the Name of Youth", the Chutian Metropolis Daily reported.

Peng Tan, a former singer in the Chinese band Dada, also a Wuhan local, arouse the passion among the audience. And Xu Wei, although not that young, drew the excitement from all audience members and proved that he is still students' favorite singer.

In addition, few campus singers from local universities also received warm welcome at the concert, the report said.
