The 2008 Music Chart Awards ceremony was staged in Beijing Exhibition Centre Tuesday night, with many big names in the music circle attending the event.
Hong Kong pop king Eason Chan became the biggest winner for the night, picking up six awards in total, including the Best Album, the Best Song, and the Best Composer and the Special Award of the Year.
Taiwan pop singer Chang chen-yue was another winner of the event, grabbing three awards, including the Best Male Singer Award (Hong Kong and Taiwan), the Best Music Producer, as well as the Best Music Composer Award, with his hit song "Missing You is A Kind of Sickness".
The Best Female Singer Award (Hong Kong and Taiwan) went to Jasmine Leung. The Best Female and Male Singer Award (Chinese mainland) were given to Vicki Zhao and Lao Lang.
Taiwan girl group S.H.E and boy band Fahrenheit received the best female and male Music Group Awards respectively.
