A cultural delegation led by the Chinese Deputy Culture Minister Chang Keren is expected to arrive in Dakar, Senegal Saturday for a three-day visit at the invitation of the Senegalese government, according to official sources.

The Chinese delegation will sign a cultural cooperation agreement with Senegalese authorities in a bid to boost cultural and artistic exchanges between China and Senegal, said She Mingyuan, the Chinese embassy cultural counselor in Dakar Thursday.

Chinese Ambassador to Senegal Lu Shaye said the Chinese-funded construction work for the Senegal's national grand theater will begin soon in the capital of Dakar, with a view to bringing the cooperation between the two countries to a higher level.
