The Danish Dance Theater, one of northern Europe's leading
modern dance troupes, is to perform in Beijing next month.
The troupe will stage "Chalk" and "Animal Park" at People's
Liberation Army Theater in Beijing on Sept. 14 and 15.
"Chalk", a depiction of emotions of doubt, trust, loneliness and
love during one's life, won Denmark's prestigious Reumert Award for
dance, according to the Chinese organizer, Milky Way Arts and
Communication.
"Animal Park" shows the happiness and sorrow of human beings
when they look into their inner world and find their true
selves.
The two performances were both created by artistic director Tim
Rushton, who is known for combining diverse styles to display
delicate relationships between people.
