An art miniature of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests within
the Temple of Heaven is being exhibited in Guangzhou, attracting
visitors with the glitter from its special building materials, 200
thousand diamonds and precious stones.
The local leading news outlet, dayoo.com, reports that the
miniature is 1.38 meters high and is able to open its door
automatically presenting to visitors a view of how an ancient
emperor held a reverent petition ceremony.
Other valuable artworks, such as sculptures made of jade and
wood, are also on exhibit in Panyu Yuguang Jewelry Company in
Guangzhou in southern China.
The Temple of Heaven is located in southern Beijing. It was
included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1998. With an area of
2.7 million square meters, it is the largest of its kind in the
country. Built in 1420, during the 18th year reign of Ming Emperor
Yongle, the temple was for emperors to worship the heaven for good
harvests.
A miniature Hall of Prayer for Good
Harvests within the Temple of Heaven, made of 200 thousand
diamonds, automatically opens its door for visitors to have a look
at its interior. The miniature, 1.38 meters in height, is exhibited
in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong province, on Friday, Aug. 10,
2007.
A jade sculpture of Guanyin, a
Bodhisattva, is also unveiled in Panyu Yuguang Jewellery Company in
Guangzhou, along with a diamond miniature hall on Friday, Aug. 10,
2007.

an art and crafts exhibition in Guangzhou, along with a diamond
miniature hall on Friday, Aug. 10, 2007.
