The world's largest exhibition of the Daodejing's various editions, after it
closed in Hong Kong, was brought to Beijing today by the
organizers.
"The Daodejing: Its Ancient Versions and Editions"
exhibition was held in Hong Kong from April 26 - May 10, as a part
of the International Forum on the Daodejing, the Taoism
classic penned by Chinese ancient wit Laozi.
The exhibition will be open to Beijing's public from May 18 -
June 6 at the National Library of China, officials said at the
opening ceremony today.
The exhibition includes 500 relics, such as the famous and
earliest "bamboo slip" Daodejing dated back to the Warring
States Period (475-221 BC) and 30 foreign-language versions of the
Taoist bible.
