Artists continue to draw inspiration from scenes that touched them in the aftermath of the Sichuan earthquake. One example is a hundred-meter scroll, unveiled to the public in Beijing.

The painted scroll, 120 meters long and two meters wide, is done in Chinese traditional ink painting. It vividly depicts scenes from the massive rescue and relief effort. Dozens of figures captured in while performing acts of heroism are underscored. These are juxtaposed with scenes of devastation -- whose shattered disarray represented the remnants of people's lives.
