Premier Wen Jiabao chaired another relief work meeting on Monday to plan further actions to prevent a epidemics in the quake zone.

The meeting urged strong measures to treat injured victims in order to avoid increasing the numbers of dead and disabled survivors. Wen pledged to increased efforts to ensure a sanitary environment in the quake zone, including a guarantee of clean water and safe food.
Monitoring of infectious diseases will also be strengthened after the meeting, and victims at high risk for infection will receive vaccines for common diseases like Hepatitis A.
The meeting also promised to restore medical services in order to meet the basic medical needs of local residents。
