Luoshui County in the city of Deyang, Sichuan, is pressing on with the construction of makeshift shelters. The county says the distribution of the makeshift houses will help those who have lost their families or were injured during the quake.

Shang Hai, deputy head of Luoshui County, Shifang, said, "We will give the housing firstly to those who have lost their family members during the quake; then to those who have been injured and become disabled as a result; and lastly to those people whose houses have been damaged."

The head of the construction team said that they will try to finish all the work 5 days earlier than scheduled.

Zhang Fanrong, head of Shenzhen Construction Team, said, "We are working around the clock. We want to try our best to help all those affected move into the shelter earlier."

This relocation center can accommodate more than 770 families.

Shang Hai said, "In total, we have seven relocation centers like this in the county, expecting to house more than 13,000 people. All will be finished before July."

People are waiting patiently in their temporary tent shelters. For millions of the quake survivors, a new life can begin with a comfortable place to live.
