Adjust font size:

Local officials in quake-stricken Sichuan province say natural gas output has reached over 6.5 million cubic meters. That's 80 percent of normal levels before the quake.

The water supply for over five million quake-affected people in rural areas of the province has nearly been fully restored.

So far, natural gas has been made accessible to over 180 shelters. Over 600,000 people in these sites have been able to take showers using natural-gas water heaters.

Meanwhile, the water supply for over five million quake-affected people in rural areas of the province has nearly been fully restored. However, there are still over 40,000 people in the quake zone who have not had their water supply restored yet.
