The Information Office of the State Council says more than 45-and-a-half million people have been affected by the Wenchuan earthquake. The death toll has climbed to 69-thousand 16. More than 18-thousand people are still listed as missing, and over 368-thousand others have been injured. Over 15-million people have been evacuated or relocated from the quake zone.
From midday on Saturday to midday on Sunday, the China Seismological Bureau reported three aftershocks measuring between magnitudes 4 and 4.9. Another 188 tremors measuring less than 3.9 on the Richter scale were also recorded. Meanwhile, donations from home and abroad have reached over 41 and a half billion yuan. More than 11 and a half billion yuan has been forwarded to the quake-affected areas. The central and local governments have allocated over 22.6 billion yuan for rescue and relief work.
