A government-run farm machinery company in Sichuan Province is helping farmers hit by the earthquake to harvest their crops.
Over 500 trained staff from the Jiangyou Bureau of Agricultural Machinery are working around the clock, using combine harvesters to increase their efficiency.
Yang Xintian, Director of Jiangyou Bureau of Agricultural Machinery said "We've assembled more than 800 combine harvesters and more than 5,000 seed drills to help farmers with harvesting and sowing."
After harvesting wheat crops, they will also help farmers with plowing and seed drilling, in time for the next period of production.
Thousands of water pumps damaged by the earthquake have been repaired to ensure there is enough water for crop irrigation.
