The International Community continues to supply relief goods to Sichuan Province. Urgently-needed tents from Indonesia and medical equipment and emergency shelters from Israel have arrived in the quake zone.
This is the second shipment of relief supplies from Indonesia. The shipment consists mainly of tents.
Sudradjat, Indonesian Ambassador to China said "We hope these supplies will assist in helping people in the quake region to recover as soon as possible."
After 10 hours in transit, the tents arrived at one of the most severely damaged Tibetan villages, in Baoxin county.
There were few casualties in the village but the homes of its residents were devastated. The tents will provide shelter for some time.
Meanwhile, Israel also shipped relief supplies to Chengdu. The materials included medical and telecom equipment and emergency shelters.
Tzipi Livni, Ieraeli Deputy PM & FM said "We would like to express once more, our condolences to quake victims."
This is also the second shipment of relief supplies sent to China from Israel.The Israeli government sent its first shipment May 22. The total amount of aid from Israel to the quake stricken region now totals 1.5 million US dollars.
