Like all of the others, Ma Yinlan and Feng Guiming now live in shelters. Today's food was given by the government.

Ma Yinlan said, "My biggest wish is to resume business as soon as possible, and the government to help us rebuild our homes."

Water system has been gradually resumed, but as houses are all dangerous to stay, people have to wash on the streets.

Li Wenhua, worker of Lixian county, said, "I hope the difficulties will go away, and we can go back home soon."

The earthquake has suspended telecommunication here. But people could make wire calls now to their relatives far away, thanks to the help of China Telecom. However, resuming electricity will take longer time.

The local TV station is doing programs linking the county to the outside world.

Though life is difficult at the moment, they are hoping for the better.

Day to Day, life begins to return to normal. Roads are still badly damaged, the region's economy depends heavily on tourism, as a result, the effects of the earthquake to the economy are likely to be prolonged.
