In Qingchuan County, survivors come to collect food and drinking water.
One local resident said "Every family gets three bags of instant noodles and one bottle of mineral water once every other day."
Soldiers have to carry heavy loads along a precarious route for more than three hours to reach Wangjiaping Village, Qingchuan County, which has an altitude of 1,500 meters.
One soldier said "We race against time. The earlier we bring food into the quake area, there'll be more hope of existence for the people."
Maoxian County is another badly affected area. A large amount of materials has been delivered to the area via the recently-cleared highway, and by airdrop.
So far, Maoxian County has received a total of 28,000 kilograms of rice, more than seven thousand cases of instant noodles and more than ten thousand kilograms of dry noodles. Almost two thousand cases of drinking water and more than seven hundred boxes of medicine have also been delivered.
In Ya'an city, the local government has organized forces to distribute food to survivors twice a day.
In Mianyang city, the quake relief materials are being organized and managed at a gymnasium. People can get materials after they register, including quilts, clothes, meals and medicine. The gymnasium has been divided into forty sections by local officials, who are working around the clock.
