A Shanghai rescue team has saved a 31-year-old man, almost 179 hours after he was buried by rubble.

Ma Yuanjiang was trapped in an Electric Company's building at Yingxiu town. Rescuers spent 10 hours digging a 10-meter-deep hole and a 10-meter-long tunnel to reach the man.

Ma Yuanjiang is now in the intensive care unit at Xinqiao Hospital in Chengdu. He was able to eat and tell the doctors his name this morning. However, he is still in a critical condition and doctors are closely monitoring his condition.
