China and Indonesia are continuing their second joint military drills in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.

The official theme for this year's two-week military drill is "United to fight terrorism". Code-named "Sharp Knife - 2012", the drill brings together Special Forces from the Chinese People's Liberation Army and Tentara National Indonesia.

Chinese Special Forces team comes from the Jinan Military Area Command of the Chinese Army. It has an 18-year history and has won awards in numerous international Special Forces competitions.

The teams are working on live fire exercises, parachuting, and blockading and seizure tactics. A combat-simulation system is also being used to mimic real-life situations and confrontation. This includes a specially-constructed street block of tens of thousands of tires.
