Xiachuan Waterwheel, the oldest waterwheel on the Yellow River, has finished a ten-month repair project, the Lanzhou Morning Post reports.
The rotten parts of the antique were replaced. The removed timber was recycled, a local cultural relic protection official said.
Built in 1711, the waterwheel is located in Xiachuan village in Lanzhou, capital of northwestern China's Gansu Province. It is the only waterwheel in the province that is still working.
