ORBIS International's flagship the "Flying Eye Hospital" recently flew into the northeastern city of Harbin to conduct free eye surgeries on over 60 patients over a period of two weeks, the Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.
This is the Flying Eye Hospital's first visit to Harbin, the capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang province and its 34th trip to China.
The ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital is a hospital with wings that brings together dedicated eye care professionals and aviators to give the gift of sight to many people in countries around the world.
Besides conducting surgery, medical experts will also focus on training and equipping the next generation of Chinese eye care specialists at the request of the Second Affiliated Hospital of the Harbin Medical University.
