A luxury car decorated with superb ivory carvings, diamonds, and rubies is on auction in Guangzhou, southern Guangdong province, to raise funds for the 16th Asian Games to be held in the city in 2010.

The luxury car, named "99 Auspicious Dragons", is a red "BMW", covered with one big ivory dragon and 98 other small ivory dragons.

According to Su Zhongyang, the artist who made the carvings, the artwork took three years to finish. The artwork is estimated at over 20 million yuan.

All proceeds will be donated to the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee.
