A dragon boat race was held on Liujiang River in Liuzhou, a city in southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Wednesday.

Xinhua News Agency reports that a total of 12 teams, made up by 400 local farmers, participated in the competition.

Lots of local residents and tourists were attracted to the banks of the river to watch the spectacle.
