A dozen of deformed cars formed a unique automobile exhibition in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province on Wednesday, to warn drivers of the danger of traffic accidents and from violating traffic laws.

Both fancy luxury cars and sexy models were absent on the show, instead, wreckage from car accidents, twisted and torn apart in various expressway traffic accidents, were the center of attention, the Changsha Evening News reported.

Some gruesome scenes were restored, with one vehicle colliding into another and plastic drivers lying there in blood. Almost all visitors who have seen it were stunned, and left the place with a heavy heart.

Tang Zhongmin, a senior traffic police who helped to organize the exhibition, said the cars were cars that were destroyed in accidents. There was only one exception, the fake driver.

"We want to shock the viewers", continued Tang, "we want to let them know the danger and the consequences."

Besides the real car show, traffic police also built a gallery and informed local residents on knowledge about traffic rules via photos and pictures.

They also listed 7 spots along the expressway in the province as dangerous areas to warn drivers to take precaution.

A driver surnamed Liu said he had driven above the speeding limit before and he felt scared after attending the exhibition and vowed to obey traffic rules in the future.

According to Tang, traffic accidents are mainly caused by three reasons: speeding, fatigue and overload.
