The modified bus, transformed from an ordinary air-conditioned bus, is equipped with nine sprinkler heads along the mid-section of the bus ceiling.
Meanwhile, a steel water tank of 10 centimetres high and 80 centimetres long and wide in size, is positioned near the rear door. When necessary, it can be activated by the driver via his left hand side button board.
The fire-resistant bus offers two efficient choices to extinguish fires; either a dry chemical powder or a water spray.
According to a provincial fire brigade official, they will continue to improve the sprinkler system before it's installed on tourism passenger trains, inter-province trains and subway trains.
