Police plans to launch a crackdown on those have forced underaged people to lead a vagrant life, beg, or commit crimes, said the Ministry of Public Security Saturday.
Some handicapped or underaged people, who have been kidnapped or beguiled by criminals, have become vagrants and beggars or have been forced to conduct criminal activities.
The police will carry out the campaign to protect the rights of these young people and liberate those children who have been forced to commit crimes.
All these liberated young vagrants will be sent back to their homes, but those whose parents are not able to be found will be settled by the civil affairs departments.
People who have beguiled, organized or controlled the underaged vagrants, beggars and outlaws will be punished in accordance with laws and regulations, the ministry said.
In related developments, over 1,100 children-and-women-smuggling cases have been uncovered and over 1,500 people rescued from the hands of kidnappers, since the police launched a nationwide campaign to crack down on such crimes in April.
