The accident happened in Benxi Man Autonomous County of Liaoning at 1:54 p.m. Wednesday, when a container truck ran into eight other vehicles, killing one person immediately, Fu Qingbin, spokesperson with the county government, said.
Six other people died when they were being sent to a local hospital, and one more died later in hospital after failed emergency medical treatment. Another 25 people were injured, and eight of them were seriously wounded. All of the injured are hospitalized and in stable condition, according to Fu.
