Fourteen people were injured in a blast in south China's Guangdong Province at 8:25 p.m. Sunday.

Fourteen people were injured in a blast in south China's Guangdong Province, local authorities confirmed Monday.

The blast occurred at 8:25 p.m. Sunday on the sidewalk outside a shop in the Humen township of Dongguan city. Fourteen people, including six men and eight women, sitting at the shop's doorstep watching TV were injured and rushed to a local hospital.

Three of them have already been discharged from the hospital while two others are in serious condition, but none of them have life-threatening injuries, according to the publicity department of the township.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
