Beijing international airport solves taxi shortages
Adjust font size:

Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) has expanded two taxi lanes in Terminal 3 to reduce passengers' waiting time during peak hours, said the airport on Monday.

An airport official told Xinhua BCIA has taken measures in response to passenger complaints of inconveniences occurred in Terminal 3 when taking taxis, especially at night, when taxis were insufficient.

Beijing Municipal Committee of Communications has set up a response system and an emergency plan, which would ensure stable taxi supply at the airport during peak hours at night.

A new optimized plan for taxi arrangements will be launched on April 8 in BCIA, which reduces the distance for taxis to get into the Terminal 3 from 5 kilometers to 500 meters.

The airport also added two new waiting paths for passengers, and has increased about 100 seats and 8 drinking water machines at the waiting area.
