China will resolutely advance its reform and opening-up despite the global financial crisis, said Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wednesday.
"We will make full use of the favorable international and domestic conditions to ensure stable and rapid economic growth and social harmony," Jia told visiting Ukrainian Defence Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov.
He said the financial crisis had affected the world economy, worsening issues like energy resources and grain security, he said.
Jia said China and the Ukraine had supported each other on major issues, and deepened cooperation.
He expressed gratitude for Ukraine's assistance to China after the May 12 earthquake last year.
Yekhanurov said Ukraine would work with China to boost cooperative relations.
