Adjust font size:

Three emergency rescue vessels for China's Shenzhou-7 manned space mission have returned to Shanghai after completing their mission in designated sea areas.

The "Beihaijiu 112" ship arrived at the Waigaoqiao pier in Shanghai on Thursday evening. Two others had returned to Shanghai last Friday and Sunday.

The vessels, dispatched by the Ministry of Transport, went to the designated areas in the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean on Sept. 16. The escape tower of the spaceship would fly to the areas in case of an emergency during the launch time.

China successfully carried out its third manned space mission from Sept. 26-28 featuring a spacewalk.
