The Chinese Health Ministry sent experts Monday to eastern Fujian Province to investigate four deaths caused by anaesthesia at a local hospital.
The Sanming City Health Department said Tuesday, four people died at the No. 2 Hospital of Sanming, between Sept. 24 and Oct. 11. They were all under surgical anaesthesia when they died.
The victims included one woman and three males. Their names have not been released.
The hospital is located in Yong'an, a small city under Sanming's jurisdiction..
