A cab driver, who murdered three and injured two in Shanghai on July 24, committed suicide at Saturday night, local police said on Monday.
Shanghai police received a call Thursday midnight reporting that someone had been stabbed in an apartment in Pudong New District. Policemen immediately rushed to the site, finding three were killed and two injured.
Initial investigation showed that the suspect was suffering an emotional entanglement with the one of the dead.
The police found that cab driver Zhou Huihua was the suspect and he committed suicide at July 26 night.
The Pudong district police recovered Zhou's body in the Yangtze River. Zhou was found in accordance with the evidence left at the murder site, said the police.
