The Center for Food Safety of Hong Kong has resumed processing applications for importing British poultry, except from Suffolk, Norfolk, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire counties, the center announced Friday.
The center said the resumption has been made in view of the control measures taken by British authorities and no further avianflu cases have been reported.
Import applications were suspended in June after avian influenza H7 cases were reported at Oxfordshire poultry farms.
Restrictions remain for Suffolk, Norfolk, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire counties and the center is monitoring the situation.
