Six people died and one was injured when a residential building
caught fire on Monday in Rui'an, a small city in Wenzhou, east
China's Zhejiang Province, the local fire brigade
confirmed.
The fire broke out at 1:30 AM in a four-storey building in
Puqiao Village of Tangxia Town, a spokesman with the brigade told
Xinhua.
He said police were yet to identify the six dead, and the
injured was being treated at the Rui'an city hospital.
A source with the hospital said the victim was out of danger,
but not available for an immediate interview.
The fire was put out at 3:00 AM and investigation was underway,
the spokesman said.
