Eight students were killed and seven injured in a traffic
accident in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province Tuesday morning, said
local traffic police.
The accident occurred at about 6:40 AM in Zhoujia town of
Shuangcheng city. This is 50 kilometers from the provincial capital
Harbin.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, said
traffic police. They didn't provide further details or the
identities of the dead or injured.
Local traffic police and education officials are conducting an
investigation.
