The General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the General Office of the State Council have urged more efficient and effective handling of proposals presented by political advisors.
The two organs said in a circular made public Monday that relevant CPC and government departments should spare more efforts on handling key proposals, and adopt reasonable suggestions more actively.
They should also improve their mechanism to ensure that each proposal is properly replied to, according to the circular.
CPC committees and governments at all levels should incorporate handling proposals raised by political advisors into their overall work agenda as well as consider it as an important aspect in appraising individual's performance, it said.
In addition, they should increase manpower and financial input to handle the proposals if needed, according to the circular.
Putting forward proposals to people's congresses and the government is an important way for political advisors to perform their duties of political consultation, democratic supervision and participation in the discussion and management of state affairs in China.
