A U.S. congressman stopped a team of Chinese experts' visit of a U.S. manned spacecraft launch site, New Express Daily reported.
Cui Jijun, director of the Jiuquan launch center in Gansu Province, said in an interview that because of this obstruction, Cui Jijun group cancelled its visit to the launch site that was scheduled in October after China and the U.S. agreed to cooperate in the field of manned space flight.
This came after the U.S. made first contact and requested visits of the Jiuquan launch center. Cui said he had personally received U.S. aerospace industry delegations to the Jiuquan site in 2009 and 2010, as part of the established cooperation.
