Huang Magan,106, married her husband in 1926, but after finding that she could not bear children he married again in 1942, taking then-34-year-old Huang Maxue as a second wife.

The women have been living together peacefully ever since, with the husband and Huang Maxue in charge of farming and the Huang Magan doing household duties.

The two are praised and well-known in their neighborhood for helping each other since their husband died decade ago at 91 years old.
