With an elevation of 4,700 meters above sea level, the Nam Co Lake is the highest saltwater lake in the world and a must-see scenic spot for tourists to Tibet. It's located in the remote parts of northern Tibet's grassland, with an area of over 1,900 square kilometers. In Tibetan, Nam Co means "Tianhu," or "a lake in heaven." Nam Co Lake, Yamdrok Lake and Mapam Yum Co are one of Tibet's three holy lakes. [File photo]
