Women initiate 70% of Beijing divorces

Seventy percent of the 800 divorce cases heard by the Shunyi District People's Court in Beijing were initiated by women, the Beijing Evening News reported.

More than 50 percent of women claimed that they suffered from family violence and husbands having extramarital affairs.
