The woman accuses Chen Yachun, vice mayor of Maoming City in Guangdong Province, of being "a big liar and a grafter," and claims he raped her and played with her feelings for seven years. The woman said she can also provide evidence of corruption, the Shanghai Morning Post reported yesterday.
The publicity office of Maoming said they had no information about the letter, while the government office denied the letter's content. Guangdong's disciplinary watchdog said they have noticed the online post, but cannot comment until they have reported it to supervisors, the newspaper said.
Chen's secretary told reporters that he has read the post?but insisted it was not true and had reported the case to the police and the municipal government.
Four nude pictures, suspected to be Chen's, have been circulating widely on the Internet recently.
The woman claims that Chen got her drunk and raped her. He reportedly begged her not to call the police and promised to marry her. It was not until recently that she found out he is still married and has had relationships with several other women.
She goes on to say that Chen authorized each official's transfer during his tenure as the Party secretary of Huazhou City, taking bribes ranging from 100,000 (US$14,920) yuan to 300,000 yuan when an official was promoted to a higher position.
The woman also alleges that Chen received bribes from two companies and said she would release tape recordings of Chen's conservation with the companies' managers "in due time."
