A woman who fell from the seventh floor window of a police station in Hunan Province committed suicide while under the influence of drugs, a police autopsy has ruled.

Su Li, 26, jumped from the window of a police building in Hengyang on October 11.

Su, from neighboring Hubei Province, was working in an Internet cafe in Hengyang before she died.

A police autopsy said Su had taken drugs before the incident, which affected her mental state, Wuhan Morning Post reported yesterday.

Officers refused to give more details, as Su's family had asked for her privacy to be respected.

Su's last moments were recorded on a mobile phone by a passerby, and the video clip posted online.

Some people who viewed the footage said Su could be heard crying, "Papa, they raped me," although others said it was impossible to make out what she was saying, the Qingdao-based City Sun Daily reported last week.

"The young lady got away from officers and rushed straight towards the windows on the seventh floor," Hengyang Police said on its website soon after the suicidal case. "She cried hysterically and suddenly threw herself out of the window."

But a website user claimed that Su was standing at the corridor window and crying for her father for at least 20 minutes before jumping.

Police told Su's family that she was at the police station to report a case, but did not give further details.
