Two people were rescued while another 16 were missing after a fishing boat capsized in stormy seas at the mouth of the Yangtze River Saturday morning, local authorities said.

The Zhejiang-registered fishing boat sank at 1:10 a.m. Saturday. Among the 18 on board, only two got free of the vessel by jumping into the water before it sank and were later saved by a ship sent by the East China Sea Salvage Bureau.

The rescuers are still searching for the 16 missing.
