A total of 105 people have been prosecuted for being responsible for three deadly coal mine accidents in China in the past 12 months, the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) announced in Beijing Wednesday.
The announcement involved those responsible for two coal mine blasts in Pingdingshan of central China's Henan Province in June this year and September last year, and a coal mine fire at Xiangtan County in Hunan in January this year, said SAWS, citing a statement from the State Council, or the Cabinet.
A total of 71 people involved in the accidents have been given disciplinary punishment by the Party or the government, according to SAWS.
