Wang Guangxiang, a reporter with Nantong Daily in East China's Jiangsu province, has won a lawsuit against a Hong Kong publisher four years after he filed the case in a Hong Kong court, accusing the publisher of distorting his report and publishing it in a book aimed at tarring the image of officials of the Communist Party of China, the Legal Daily reported on Saturday.
The court has ordered the publisher recall and destroy all the books in circulation and make a public apology in local newspapers.
This is believed to be the first journalism case that a Chinese mainland reporter has won off the mainland.
