Rescuers are still working to find 10 miners trapped in a collapsed railway tunnel in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, rescuers said Sunday.
Rescuers are working all-out Sunday for ten workers who were trapped in a collapsed railway tunnel Friday in north China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. |
Two tonnes of milk have been sent into the tunnel via a vent drilled by the rescuers as of Sunday noon, but it's still unknown whether the trapped miners are still alive in the collapsed tunnel in Zhuozi County of Ulanqab City, about 150 km from the regional capital Hohhot.
The miners have been trapped in the collapsed railway tunnel for more than 50 hours.
An estimated 2,000 cubic meters of rocks and dirt caved into the tunnel at 2:35 p.m. Friday.
The tunnel is part of a railway being built to link Ulanqab City's Jining District with Baotou City, Inner Mongolia.
